01/08/2023 - From the Diary of Rumah Kita’s volunteer Cecily.
“I'm extremely grateful and honoured for being recognised recently as the Advocacy Queen. As a passionate anti baby dumping advocate, this is meaningful. The true epitome of a pageant is not just the crown and sash. It's the advocacy to inspire and make a real difference in the community and beyond. It's a huge responsibility and I'm ever ready even before the pageant advocating for my cause through my platform Save A Life.
Being a part of Rumah Kita for 5 years now as a dedicated volunteer, spokesperson and partnering with them on my cause has been nothing but a blessing.
We have been making collective effort for a common cause, creating awareness, supporting vulnerable communities and spreading nothing but love.
During my 7 months journey in the pageant, my pageant sisters and I together with the organisation were able to raise funds of RM10,000 for groceries and baby products for Rumah Kita. I was super happy!
I dedicate this title to you my dearest friend Suraya Razak and the Rumah Kita team. From the bottom of my heart, I'm forever grateful for your unwavering support, believing in me and in my noble cause to prevent baby dumping within the community.
As we bask in the glow of this victory, let us continue this journey together remaining dedicated to the noble cause that brought us together.
